Need a domain, hosting and a website together? Choose any one, two or all three in a single order.
Start your orderPrices are in Uganda shillings. Domain and hosting prices are per year; website packages are a one-off design and build fee. Your invoice confirms the final amount before you pay.
An address like accounts@yourcompany.co.ug tells a customer, supplier or donor three things before they read a word. You are an established organisation, and the message really came from you. And the conversation will survive if the person who sent it moves on. A free webmail address can’t do any of that.
Business email is also about control. When staff use personal Gmail or Yahoo accounts for work, you can’t recover those conversations when someone leaves. You can’t stop a former employee writing to clients, and you can’t enforce passwords or security settings. Moving to email on your own domain fixes those problems at the root.
Generation Solutions has provided email hosting since 2017. We set up professional email for businesses, NGOs, schools and professional firms, on the devices people actually use. We move old mail across so nothing gets lost, and we stay available when messages stop flowing.
Individual addresses for staff (jane@…), shared role addresses (info@, accounts@, admissions@) and aliases that forward to the right people.
Mailboxes, DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC where supported) and webmail access, so your mail arrives and other servers trust it.
Adding and removing users, resetting passwords, managing storage and handling staff changes when people join or leave.
Moving existing messages, folders and contacts from your old provider, planned so mail keeps arriving during the switch.
Spam filtering where the platform supports it, secure connection settings, and guidance on phishing and password safety.
Diagnosing bounced messages, full mailboxes, sync problems and mail going to spam — by phone or WhatsApp.
Most email problems reported to us are not server problems at all — they are devices configured with the wrong settings. A phone set up with POP instead of IMAP downloads messages and removes them from the server, so they never appear on the office laptop. An outdated password saved in Outlook triggers repeated login prompts. A tablet uses an insecure connection that a modern mail server rejects.
We configure email properly on:
For larger teams, we write short setup notes so you can add new staff consistently. Or we handle onboarding for you under a support arrangement.

Email migration has a reputation for being risky, mostly because it is often done in a rush when an old provider becomes unbearable. Done carefully, it is predictable. Our process:
We list every mailbox, alias and forwarding rule, note how much mail each holds and confirm who has access to the domain’s DNS.
Accounts are created on the new platform before anything changes, with passwords shared securely.
Messages, folders and, where possible, contacts and calendars are copied from the old system while it continues to receive mail.
We update DNS so new mail flows to the new platform, then run a final copy to catch messages that arrived during the switch.
Phones and computers are pointed to the new server, and staff are shown where to find everything.
If you are moving to Microsoft 365 rather than standard email hosting, see our Microsoft 365 services, which include Exchange Online migration.
A few decisions at setup time save a lot of confusion later. We help you agree:
“Our emails are going to clients’ junk folders” is one of the most common complaints we hear. The causes are usually technical rather than anything you wrote:
| Cause | What we do about it |
|---|---|
| Missing or incorrect SPF record | Publish an SPF record listing every service allowed to send mail for your domain, including your website’s contact form. |
| No DKIM signature | Enable DKIM signing where the platform supports it so receiving servers can verify the message wasn’t altered. |
| No DMARC policy | Add a DMARC record, starting with monitoring, to tell other servers how to handle mail that fails checks. |
| Shared server reputation | Advise on separating email from busy shared web hosting where poor reputation is affecting delivery. |
| Compromised account sending spam | Secure the account, reset credentials, check forwarding rules and request delisting where needed. |
These records live in your domain’s DNS, which is why email and domain management are so closely linked.

Email is the most common route for scams against Ugandan organisations. Criminals send fake invoices with new bank details, pose as a director asking for an urgent mobile money transfer, or build fake login pages to steal passwords. Technology helps, but so does awareness.
If an email asks you to change bank details or make an urgent payment, confirm it by phone. Call a number you already know, never one in the email itself.
Email often holds an organisation’s only record of agreements, approvals and correspondence with donors or clients. It deserves the same protection as any other important record. We discuss with each client:
Backup options vary by platform and plan. We explain exactly what applies to yours in your quotation rather than making blanket promises.
For a growing business, the move from a single Gmail address to a set of role and staff mailboxes is a sign of maturity. We help you choose a sensible naming scheme (firstname@ or firstname.lastname@) and set up shared addresses for sales and accounts. We also make sure managers can still see what matters when someone is away.
NGOs often have staff and volunteers who change frequently, field teams with unreliable connectivity, and partners who expect professional communication. Clean offboarding, shared programme mailboxes and good mobile setup make a real difference. See our ICT solutions for NGOs.
Schools benefit from role-based addresses — admissions@, bursar@, headteacher@ — that stay the same when staff change, so parents always know where to write. We can also advise on whether a platform such as Microsoft 365 suits your institution better.
Where you have dozens of users, multiple departments or compliance considerations, Microsoft 365 with Exchange Online is often the better fit. We’ll recommend honestly, even if that means a different product from the one you asked about.

Both give you professional email on your own domain. The difference is what comes with it.
| Standard email hosting | Microsoft 365 | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Organisations that mainly need reliable email | Organisations that also want shared files, Teams meetings and Office apps |
| Licensing | Depends on the hosting plan | Per-user subscription from Microsoft; features vary by plan |
| Collaboration | Email, webmail and basic calendars depending on platform | Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint (by plan) |
| Security controls | Depends on platform | Centralised admin, multi-factor authentication and policy options (by plan) |
We help many clients run a mix — for example, Microsoft 365 for management and shared mailboxes on standard hosting for occasional users. The right answer depends on your budget, team size and how you work.
To prepare a quotation, tell us your domain name (or the one you would like), how many people need mailboxes, whether you need shared role addresses, and where your current email is hosted. If you don’t have a domain yet, we can register one for you in your organisation’s name.
Tell us your domain, how many people need mailboxes and where your email is hosted today. We will recommend standard email hosting or Microsoft 365, list the mailboxes and shared addresses to create, and plan a migration date that keeps mail flowing while staff move to their new setup.
Yes. Your addresses belong to your domain, not to a provider. During migration we recreate the same mailboxes on the new platform and move your existing messages.
Not with proper planning. We copy existing mail before changing DNS and run a final copy afterwards to catch anything that arrived during the switch.
Yes. We configure accounts using IMAP or Exchange so messages stay synchronised across all your devices.
No. You need a domain name. We can host email with or without a website on that domain.
We can disable sign-in, forward new mail to a colleague, and keep or export the old mailbox so the organisation retains its records.
It depends on the platform and plan you choose. We size mailboxes to how your staff actually use email, since people who receive large attachments need more space. We also show users how to archive, so mailboxes don’t fill up unexpectedly.
Usually because of missing SPF, DKIM or DMARC records, or a poor sending reputation. We check your DNS and mail setup and fix what we find.
